You can make so much money selling and promoting other people’s products and services. Affiliate marketing is becoming more popular everyday. My success as an affiliate marketer has been centered in the online poker field. In 2005 I was one of the top affiliates for PacificPoker.com. I am also an affiliate for eBay and several poker product websites.
PacificPoker.com offered a generous affiliate payout. Most online poker rooms and online casinos have affiliate programs. PacificPoker.com paid me $200.00 for every person I sent through their online doors that made a minimum deposit of $50.00. I made over $100,000 last year from this affiliate program alone. The best way to get started as an affiliate is to visit CommisionJunction. They list thousands of websites that want people like you to sell their products or services. The setup process is simple. And all you have to do is promote and sell. The website you are an affiliate for handles everything else, payments, charge backs, shipping etc. You are tracked through a code and you generally get a percentage of each sale you helped to initiate.Whether you are referring to poker site or selling Ipods as an affiliate marketer, the key to success is finding creative ways to promote. I created a simple website in Microsoft Frontpage. I sold a poker e-book I wrote and poker products as an affiliate. Most affiliate marketers advertise their websites using Pay Per Click advertising like Google Adwords. The problem is Pay Per Click companies like Google Adwords don’t allow people to place Pay Per Click ads that lead to an online poker room or casino (gambling site). They actually spider your site to verify no links lead to a gambling site. So I got creative. I removed ALL links to gambling sites from my website. I then put them in my e-book which I sold in pdf format. The result- I was able to indirectly advertise as an affiliate for PacficPoker.com using Pay Per Click advertising when no one else could (or knew how to!). My Pay Per Click costs were dirt cheap because there was so little competition (All other poker/casino affiliates gave up because they were not permitted to link to gambling sites).
